Admission to the Educational Lecture: Point Elliot Treaty on Sat. Oct. 17th, 2026
Join us for an overview of the Point Elliott Treaty which created the Indian reservations in our part of the Salish Sea. The 1855 treaty established the Swinomish, Lummi, Tulalip, Muckleshoot and Port Madison reservations and resulted in complex issues that live with us today as we share the ancestral lands of the First People of this region.
This visual presentation and lecture will examine conditions that led to the treaty and the aftermath of the treaty’s implementation in our region. Audience participation in a post-lecture discussion will be welcome.
Presented by author and historian Theresa Trebon.
